Passwords only exist on the preboot menu which you should not need and will exist on the machine for other areas if you or your administrator gave one. You should be able to scroll down to the administrator menu which is not password protected and then scroll down troubleshooting and be able to use whatever resources the printer has to do your evaluation.

If you are having firmware issues, just do a google search as you can update or reload the firmware from the preboot menu without the use of a password using the walkup usb function.
